Farmyard Duck Family Porcelain Limoges Box

Three ducks gather together on the farm in this porcelain scene, a little family heading out for the day. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, with the trio as its subject.

Waddling Into the Barnyard

Ducks are a cheerful part of any farmyard, and a group of three tells a small family story that a single bird cannot. This piece suits anyone who grew up near a pond or a barn, or who simply smiles at the sight of ducks in a row. Each box is painted by hand, so the shading of the feathers changes a little from one to the next.

A Pond Side Present

Give it to a new mother as a sweet family symbol, a farmhouse homeowner, or a friend who keeps backyard ducks. It also suits a spring birthday or an Easter table. Three ducks make a fitting token for a family of three, or for siblings who were always seen together. Display it in a country kitchen, on a mudroom shelf, or in a curio cabinet with other farm animals.
