Cow and Milk Bottle Rochard Porcelain Limoges Box

Fresh from the morning milking, a cow stands beside a bottle of milk on this farmhouse piece. It is from Rochard, a Limoges box of porcelain that was hand-painted in Limoges, France.

Got Milk

The cow and the milk bottle are sculpted together in porcelain, a nod to dairy farms and old-fashioned milk delivery. Glass milk bottles left on the porch at dawn are a fond memory for many, and pairing one with the cow that filled it gives this box a gentle sense of humor. Rochard's farm animal line has many barnyard favorites.

Dairy Country Gifts

Give it to a dairy farmer, a 4-H leader, a cheese maker, or a friend who grew up on a farm. It also suits a new mother, since milk and cows have long been tied to nurturing. Set it on a farmhouse kitchen shelf, a breakfast nook, or a hutch with cow creamers and country pottery, where it adds a warm rural note.
