Rooster on a Green Base Porcelain Limoges Box
A proud rooster stands tall on a green base, ready to greet the sunrise from his porcelain perch. Every feather and the green base of this Limoges box were painted by hand in Limoges, France.
First Call of the Morning
The rooster is a farmyard icon and, in France, a national emblem known as le coq gaulois. His bold stance and morning crow have made him a favorite subject in country kitchens for generations. On a green base, this one looks like he has just stepped out into the barnyard to take charge of the day.

Crowing on the Kitchen Shelf
Set it on a farmhouse windowsill, a kitchen hutch or a breakfast table beside the coffee. It makes a cheerful present for someone who keeps chickens, a housewarming for a new country home, a Francophile who loves the Gallic rooster, or a friend who is always up at dawn. Collectors of rooster kitchenware will welcome a porcelain version for the shelf.
