Two Horses on a Small Oval Rochard Limoges Box

Two horses keep company on this small oval Limoges box, like old pasture mates who never stray far apart. Rochard made it in porcelain, painted by hand in Limoges, France, in a compact shape that fits almost anywhere.

Pasture Mates in Porcelain

Horses are herd animals, and anyone who has spent time around a barn knows how close two of them can become. This box captures that bond in a simple, classic form. The oval shape has been a favorite for Limoges boxes for generations, and here it gives the pair a neat little stage.

Ribbons, Trophies and Tack Rooms

Set it on a shelf among show ribbons, or give it pride of place on the desk in a barn office. Because it is small, it also sits comfortably on a nightstand or a bathroom vanity without crowding anything. Riders mark all kinds of milestones, from a first show season to bringing home a new horse, and this pair makes a thoughtful way to celebrate one. It also works as a thank-you for a riding instructor or a friend who boards two horses side by side.
