Watering Can with Chickens Porcelain Limoges Box

Chickens strut across a garden watering can in this farmhouse charmer, bringing the cheerful bustle of the henhouse to a shelf. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, shaped and painted in Limoges, France.

Watering the Henhouse Garden

On a working farm, the garden and the chickens are never far apart, and this piece brings both together. The watering can shape forms the box, while the hens painted across it add country character. Each chicken is painted by hand, so the details vary slightly from one can to the next.

Farmhouse Kitchen Favorites

Backyard chickens have become a beloved hobby for many families, and anyone who has collected warm eggs on a cool morning will feel a connection to this design. It also suits a French country kitchen, where roosters and hens have long been a favorite decorating theme.

Roosting on the Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a farmhouse, chicken or garden collection
• Pairs well with rooster, egg basket and barn pieces

Give it to a backyard chicken keeper, a farmers market vendor, or a friend who just moved to the country. On an open kitchen shelf, a farmhouse hutch or a mudroom windowsill, it adds a homey, cheerful note.
