Two Men Playing Golf Hand-Painted Limoges Box

Two men share a round on the course in this porcelain golf scene, the kind of friendly match that fills weekend mornings at clubs everywhere. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, with the golfers and their gear painted by hand in Limoges, France.

The Saturday Foursome

Golf is as much about the company as the score, and this piece celebrates exactly that. The two figures stand together on the course, a reminder of long walks down the fairway, friendly wagers and stories told over lunch at the clubhouse.

Buddies on the Back Nine

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a golf, sports or country club collection
• Pairs with golf cart, golf bag and golfing mouse pieces

Trophy Shelf Tradition

It makes a fitting retirement present for a golf partner, a birthday surprise for a longtime playing buddy, or a thank-you for a club pro. Many collectors use it as a member guest tournament prize or a memento of a golf trip with old friends. Display it on a trophy shelf, an office bookcase or a den mantel.

Small Boxes, Long History

Small porcelain boxes became fashionable in 18th century France for keeping snuff, pills and beauty patches. Their subjects have since grown to include nearly every pastime, golf among them.
