Rochard Pelican Limoges Box, Fish Comes Off
With its long bill and a fish that comes away for a closer look, this pelican looks as if it just returned from a successful dive. Rochard sculpted the bird in porcelain, and the colors were laid on by hand in Limoges, France.
A Beak Full of Lunch
Pelicans are the comedians of the coast, gliding low over the waves before plunging in headfirst for a meal. Rochard captured that character, and the removable fish adds a playful surprise when you pick it up. Feathers, bill and fish are each painted with care.

Gulf Coast Living
It belongs in a beach house, a fishing cabin, or a sunroom with a view of the water. Give it to a Florida or Louisiana native, a retiree who just moved to the coast, or a friend who never misses the pelicans on the pier. It also suits a fisherman's birthday, since the bird and the angler share the same goal. On a shelf of coastal souvenirs it holds its own with real personality.
