Blue Flowers Rectangle Limoges Pill Box

Little blue flowers are scattered across this rectangular porcelain pill box like a meadow seen from above. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, following the neat, straight-sided form of many traditional pill boxes.

A Meadow in Miniature

An all-over floral pattern is one of the oldest ways to dress a small box, and it suits a rectangle especially well. With blossoms spread across the surface rather than gathered in one spot, the piece looks pretty from every angle, whether it sits flat on a tray or stands in a cabinet.

Forget Me Not Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a floral, cottage garden or blue themed set of pill boxes
• Pairs well with the blue rose and blue ringed rectangle pieces

For Anniversaries and Thank-Yous

Set it on a dresser, a bedside table or a desk where a bit of blue can brighten the corner. It is a gentle present for an anniversary, a thank-you for a teacher or neighbor, or a birthday token for a friend who fills her window boxes with blue blooms every spring. Group it with other rectangles and squares on a single shelf and the flowers tie the row together.
