Limoges Stork Wall Box for a Baby Nursery
A stork, the storybook messenger said to deliver new babies, is the subject of this porcelain wall box. Hand-painted in Limoges, France, it is a Limoges box designed for a nursery wall, a quiet welcome for the newest member of a family.
Special Delivery
The stork has carried news of new arrivals in European folklore for centuries, and it still turns up on birth announcements today. Here that old tale becomes a porcelain keepsake, one that marks the arrival without a single word painted on it.
Welcoming a Newborn
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Fits baby, nursery and maternity groupings
- Pairs with teddy bear, rattle and cradle pieces
From Grandparents With Love
Grandparents, godparents and close friends often look for something lasting to mark a birth, and this stork answers that wish. It suits a baby shower, a christening or a first visit to the hospital, and it can later move to a keepsake shelf as the years pass.
A Nursery Wall Accent
As a wall box it is meant to hang rather than sit, so place it high on a nursery wall beside a framed birth record or a name plaque. It is a decorative piece for grown-ups to admire, kept well out of reach.
