Pink Flower Chest Hand-Painted Limoges Box

Pink flowers spill across this porcelain box made in the shape of a little chest, like a hope chest shrunk down to fit on a dresser. Painted by hand, this porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, the city whose name has meant fine French porcelain for generations.

A Hope Chest in Miniature

Chests and trunks have long held the things families mean to pass down, which gives this shape a warm, sentimental feel. The pink flowers soften the boxy form and keep it light.

Petals for the Bride

The romantic look makes it a fitting present for a wedding shower, a bridal luncheon thank-you, or an anniversary. It also suits a mother or grandmother who loves pink roses in the garden.

Blooming on the Dresser

• French porcelain, hand-painted in Limoges
• Belongs with floral pieces or chest and trunk shapes
• Looks lovely in a bedroom, guest room or on a vanity

Pink tones like these warm up a white dresser or a cottage style shelf, and the chest shape adds variety beside round and heart boxes in the same colors.
