White Hexagon Limoges Box with Flowers

Six neat sides give this white box a crisp geometric outline, softened by flowers painted across its surface. The hexagon shape is a classic in fine porcelain, and this porcelain Limoges box was finished by hand in Limoges, France.

Honeycomb Geometry

Hexagons appear everywhere in nature, from honeycombs to snowflakes, and they have long been a favorite shape for decorative boxes. Here the clean angles frame the painted flowers like panels in a garden window. Every bloom is applied by hand, so the details vary a little from box to box.

Bee Garden Present

The honeycomb shape makes it a playful present for a beekeeper or a gardener, and its white ground suits a wedding shower or a bridal luncheon. Set it on a vanity, a writing desk or a guest room nightstand. Among round and oval boxes, its angles add welcome variety to a shelf, and it pairs nicely with framed pressed flowers on a wall nearby.
