White Footed Egg Limoges Box with Pink Flowers

Pink flowers bloom across a white egg that stands up on little legs, as though it has just hopped onto the shelf. This is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and the top half lifts away as the lid.

Pink Petals on a Snowy Shell

A white ground lets the pink blossoms stand out crisp and clear, so the pattern reads from across a room. The small legs lift the egg off the surface and give it a lively, upright stance. Each blossom is painted by hand in Limoges, which means no two finished eggs are quite identical.

A Housewarming in Bloom

Set it on a sunny kitchen shelf, a guest room nightstand or the center of an Easter table surrounded by pastel candies. It suits Mother's Day, a spring birthday, or a housewarming where a little color is welcome. Collectors who keep eggs on legs often line them up in a row, and this white and pink one brightens the group without overpowering it.
