White Egg Limoges Box with Multicolored Flowers
A white porcelain egg blossoms with flowers in many colors, as cheerful as a spring border in full bloom. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it carries on one of the oldest shapes in the Limoges tradition.
Spring in an Eggshell
The white ground lets each color stand on its own, so the flowers read clearly rather than blending together. Eggs have stood for new life and renewal for as long as people have celebrated spring. On this piece the multicolored blooms make that message feel bright and hopeful.

Easter Mornings and Beyond
Tuck it into an Easter basket, set it at each place for a spring luncheon, or nest it in a bowl with a few other eggs for a simple seasonal centerpiece. It also makes a lovely present for a new mother, a spring birthday or a garden club friend. Out of season it sits happily on a curio shelf, where the colors keep things lively all year.
Many egg collectors start with a floral egg like this one, then add a new pattern each spring.
