Light Blue Floral Egg with Upright Frame Limoges Box

A light blue egg decorated with painted flowers opens to an upright oval frame, ready for a favorite photo. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, and its soft sky color gives any picture a calm, gentle setting.

Sky Blue and Blooming

Pale blue and flowers make a fresh, springlike pairing, and the vertical frame inside is shaped for a portrait. The shell and its blossoms are painted by hand, so the shades of blue and the floral details vary slightly from one egg to the next.

A Photo for Every Milestone

• A christening or baptism portrait for godparents
• A graduation photo for a proud grandparent
• A cherished wedding picture for an anniversary couple

Keeping It Close

Set it on a nightstand, a writing desk or a vanity, where opening the frame becomes a small daily pleasure. It also pairs beautifully with the pink floral and cobalt eggs in a collection of photo frame eggs. A light blue egg suits a nursery shelf, a guest room or a bedroom done in cool tones. Many owners change the photo over the years, so the egg keeps telling the family story.
