Orange Heart Limoges Box with Green Flowers

Warm orange covers this porcelain heart, and green flowers are painted over it like vines climbing a sunny wall. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, a heart with the colors of an autumn orchard.

Harvest Colors in Love

Orange and green are rarely the first colors anyone imagines on a heart, which is exactly what makes this one memorable. The combination brings to mind pumpkins and leaves, citrus and foliage, and it gives a romantic shape a fresh, seasonal energy.

A Heart for Fall

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits heart, floral and autumn color groupings
• Pairs with acorn, pumpkin and leaf shapes

When to Give It

An October wedding anniversary, a fall birthday, or a Thanksgiving hostess thank-you all suit this heart well. It also makes a cheerful present for someone whose favorite color is orange and who never sees it on porcelain.

Seasonal Shelf Rotation

Bring it out in September with other harvest pieces and keep it on the mantel through Thanksgiving. In spring and summer the green flowers let it slip into garden displays, so it earns a place year round.
