Tall Round Limoges Box with Light Blue Stripes and Flowers

Tall and round, almost a small cylinder, this box rises with light blue stripes running up its sides and painted flowers scattered across them. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, with the lid sitting neatly on top.

A Column of Cornflower Stripes

Vertical stripes make the piece look even taller, like a little column or a French hatbox. The flowers soften the geometry and keep it from feeling stiff. Every stripe and blossom is brushed on by hand in Limoges, so slight differences in spacing make each one individual.

Back Row Star

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Its height makes it a natural back row piece in a crowded cabinet
• Pairs with the striped egg and scalloped boxes in the same light blue

Vanity and Washstand Spots

The cylinder shape fits neatly on a narrow bathroom shelf, a vanity or a bedside table where wider pieces crowd the space. It makes a pleasant housewarming present, a birthday surprise for someone with a blue and white bedroom, or a thank you to a friend who helped with a move. Its quiet colors blend into almost any room.
