Pink Flowers and Leaves Oval Limoges Box

Pink blossoms and leafy sprays wrap this oval porcelain box in a soft, natural garland. It is a Limoges box hand-painted in Limoges, France, with a gentle springtime feel that suits almost any room.

A Garland of Pink

The leaves give the flowers a sense of place, as if they had just been cut from a climbing rose or a flowering branch. Pink and green is one of nature's easiest pairings, and the oval shape lets the garland curve gracefully. It is a piece that feels fresh without trying too hard.

Floral Shelf Notes

• Hand-painted Limoges porcelain from France
• Fits a floral, garden or spring collection
• Pairs well with the tall oval pink flower box and pink striped pieces

Gentle Gestures

This box makes a sweet present for Mother's Day, a spring birthday, a bridesmaid or a friend recovering from an illness. It also works as a thank-you for a garden tour host or a teacher who loves flowers. Set it on a nightstand, a vanity tray or a windowsill, where its soft colors can catch the morning light.

White Clay, Pink Petals

The white kaolin that gave Limoges its porcelain was found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768, and that pale ground still lets pink blossoms like these look clear and bright.
