Round Ball Limoges Box with Small Pink Flowers on a Vine

Small pink flowers trail along a vine around this round, ball-shaped box, like a garden trellis in early summer. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, a soft and romantic piece for a floral collection.

Climbing Blossoms

The ball shape gives the vine a gently curving surface to follow, so the flowers seem to grow across the porcelain. Little pink blooms keep it delicate and fresh, and because the painting is done by hand, the tendrils and petals fall a bit differently on every piece.

A Floral Shelf Companion

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a floral, pink or round-shape collection
• Pairs with rose, heart and flower basket boxes

Blooming Occasions

Set it on a vanity among perfume bottles, on a nightstand, or in a glass curio where it can be admired from all angles. It makes a pretty present for Mother's Day, a bridal shower, a spring birthday or a gardener friend whose climbing roses are the pride of the block. It also brings a little color to a sickroom or a new apartment.

Porcelain boxes became popular in 18th-century France for holding tiny treasures like pills and beauty patches, and a round floral box like this keeps that dressing table tradition alive.
