Big Lizard Resting on a Log Porcelain Limoges Figurine

A big lizard sprawls across a textured log, soaking up the sun in this nature scene. The figurine was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, as a Limoges figurine box.

Basking on the Bark

Lizards spend their days warming up on rocks and logs, and this one has found the perfect perch. The rough texture of the log contrasts with the lizard itself, giving the piece a natural, earthy character that stands apart from more formal porcelain.

Cold Blooded and Content

For the Reptile Fan

This is a fun present for someone who keeps a pet gecko or iguana, a herpetology student, a nature photographer, or a hiker who always spots the lizards on the trail. Set it on a desk in a study, a bookshelf beside field guides, or a sunroom table with potted plants. It also makes a memorable thank-you for a science teacher or zoo volunteer. Each lizard is painted by hand, so the coloring and log texture vary slightly from piece to piece.
