Frog on Floral Watering Can Limoges Box Figurine
A cheerful frog has hopped up onto a flowered watering can, clearly pleased with the view from the garden. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, and it brings a smile to any potting bench or windowsill.
Leap Into the Garden
Gardeners welcome frogs as friends, since they keep the slugs and bugs in check. Here the frog and the floral decoration on the can are painted by hand, so the colors and patterns vary a little from box to box.
Who Tends the Beds
It is a fun thank-you for a master gardener, a landscaper or the neighbor who waters your plants while you travel. Frog collectors, garden club presidents and anyone who just planted a first vegetable bed will enjoy it. It also makes a sweet nod to spring for a birthday in April or May.

Fired, Then Painted
Many Limoges boxes are hand-painted after the white porcelain has been fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand. That patience is why the flowers on the can look freshly painted.
