Blue Bud in Bloom Porcelain Limoges Box
Blue is an uncommon sight in most flower beds, which makes this opening bud all the more striking. Its petals are just parting, and the bloom itself forms the porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand and made in Limoges, France.
Out of the Blue
Gardeners prize true blue flowers like delphinium, cornflower and morning glory because they are so hard to come by. This bud borrows that cool, calm color, with each petal brushed in by hand after firing so every finished piece has its own slight shading.
The Two Color Bouquet
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Pairs with the pink open bud for a soft two color arrangement
- Belongs with flower, garden and Valentine pieces
Cool Blue Corners
Set it on a nightstand in a blue bedroom, a guest bath shelf or a sunny windowsill where the color can catch the light. It makes a quiet present for a friend who loves blue flowers, a gardener who grows hydrangeas, or someone welcoming a new grandson. A birthday in late summer, a thank-you for a garden tour host or a simple just because all suit it well. Collectors of floral boxes often find that a blue bud ties together a shelf of pinks and yellows.
