Purple and Yellow Pansy Rochard Limoges Box

A pansy in rich purple and sunny yellow opens its bright face in this cheerful flower box. Crafted by Rochard, this porcelain Limoges box was colored by hand in Limoges, France.

Thoughts of You

The name pansy comes from the French word pensée, meaning thought, and the flower has long been given as a sign that someone is in your thoughts. That makes this little bloom a quietly sentimental present as well as a garden piece.

A Face in the Flower Bed

Pansies are often among the first flowers planted each spring and the last still blooming in fall. The purple and yellow pairing is the classic look, bold and friendly. Painted by hand in a Limoges workshop, the petals vary slightly from box to box.

Bouquet of Companions

• A Rochard flower design from Limoges, France
• Joins rose, violet and hydrangea boxes
• Fits a garden, spring flower or purple themed collection

Offer it to a gardener, a friend who needs cheering up, or a teacher at the end of the school year. It brightens a windowsill, a bedside table or a spring tablescape, and it makes a sweet thinking-of-you present when words feel too small.
