Brown Fountain Pen Shaped Limoges Box

Long, slim and painted a warm brown, this Limoges box takes the shape of a classic fountain pen. It is hand-painted porcelain made in Limoges, France, and it is purely decorative, so no ink will ever leak onto the blotter.

Mightier Than the Sword

The fountain pen still stands for careful thought and a personal hand, from signed contracts to love letters written on good paper. Turning it into porcelain keeps that sense of ceremony while giving the writing desk a conversation piece.

For the Writer's Desk

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a writing, office or professions collection
• Pairs with inkwells, books, typewriters and desk shapes

Signing Off in Style

Choose it for an author's book launch, a law school graduation, a new partnership at the firm, or the retirement of a teacher who graded a thousand essays in red ink. It is also a nod to anyone who still writes thank you notes by hand.

The elongated form is unusual among Limoges shapes, which tend to be round or square, so it brings variety to a shelf. Lay it across a desk tray, beside a leather journal, or in front of a row of favorite novels, where it will look as if the writer just stepped away mid sentence.
