Lions Holding Up a World Globe Porcelain Limoges Box
Proud lions hold up a globe of the world on their backs in this striking porcelain box, looking like an ornament from an old library or a grand bank lobby. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, with the lions and continents painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Kings Beneath the World
Lions have stood for strength and courage for thousands of years, and here they carry the whole globe as though it weighed nothing at all. The pairing feels classical and bold, the sort of design that would suit a study full of maps and leather bound atlases.
Atlas of the Study
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Fits a lion, big cat, globe or world travel collection
- Pairs with hot air balloon, compass and travel pieces
The Explorer's Desk
Place it on a desk beside a real globe, in a library, or on a bookshelf filled with travel memoirs. It is a strong present for a graduate heading out into the world, a geography teacher, a retiree planning a long trip, or someone born under the sign of Leo. Business owners like it for an office shelf as a symbol of steady strength.
A powerful little piece with a classical flair.
