Yellow Cat and Fountain Pen Detailed Limoges Box

A yellow cat keeps company with a fountain pen on this well detailed porcelain piece, a perfect muse for anyone who writes by hand. Fine brushwork from Limoges, France brings out every small detail on this hand-painted Limoges box.

Purr and Penmanship

Writers and cats have kept each other company for centuries, the cat stretched across the manuscript just as the sentence finally comes together. Pairing a cat with a fountain pen captures that partnership. The level of detail is the main appeal here, and the sunny yellow gives it warmth on a dark desk.

For Those Who Write With Whiskers Nearby

This makes a thoughtful present for a novelist with a cat on the keyboard, a calligrapher, a poet, or a pen collector who still fills a fountain pen with ink each morning. Cat owners in general will smile at it, especially those with a yellow or orange tabby at home. Set it on a writing desk beside a journal, on a bookshelf among first editions, or next to a pen tray. Displayed with the matching mouse and pen piece, it makes a playful pair.
