Rochard Hummingbird Porcelain Limoges Box

A tiny hummingbird, a flash of life from the summer garden, is the subject of this graceful porcelain box. Rochard modeled the bird as a Limoges box and painted it by hand in Limoges, France.

Jewel of the Garden

Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world and the only ones that can fly backward, their wings beating so fast they hum. Many people see them as messengers of joy and resilience. Rochard brings that fleeting visitor to a piece that stays put on the shelf, with each bird brushed by hand so no two look exactly alike.

Feeder Side Favorites

• A Rochard bird design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits a hummingbird, songbird or garden grouping
• Pairs well with cardinal, bluebird and flower boxes

Summer All Year Long

Place it on a kitchen windowsill facing the feeder, a sunroom shelf, or a curio cabinet among other birds. It makes a cheerful present for a bird watcher who logs every visitor, a gardener who plants red flowers just for hummingbirds, or a friend going through a hard season who needs a small sign of hope. It also brightens a desk at work when spring feels far away.
