Blue Workbench with Tools Porcelain Limoges Box

A blue workbench is laid out with tools, ready for the next weekend project in the garage. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, honors the handy person in every family.

Measure Twice, Paint Once

The workbench is the heart of any home shop, and this miniature version treats it with real affection. The blue bench and its tools are painted by hand, giving each piece small differences in color and line, much like the well worn tools of a real workshop.

The Handy One's Corner

Put it on an office desk, a den shelf or a garage workshop windowsill where it can keep an eye on the real projects. It also pairs well with toolbox, hammer and saw themed pieces for a small hardware lineup on a shelf.

Built for the Fixer

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• A Father's Day idea for the dad who can fix anything
• A fitting thank-you for a carpenter, contractor or woodworker

It also makes a lighthearted retirement present for an engineer or shop teacher heading home to a workbench of their own. Anyone who has spent a Saturday afternoon building something will recognize the scene.
