Crayon Shaped Hand-Painted Limoges Box
A single crayon, ready to fill a blank page with color, makes a charming tribute to creativity of every kind. This piece is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, crafted in Limoges, France, from a retired fine art design.
Color Outside the Lines
The crayon is often the very first art tool anyone picks up, and it stands for imagination with no limits. In porcelain it becomes a playful nod to artists, art teachers and anyone who loves to make things.
Art Supply Notes
- A retired design from the Limoges fine art and baby line
- Fits an art, school or nursery themed collection
- Pairs with paint palette, easel and blackboard pieces
From the Studio to the Nursery
It suits an art teacher's thank you, a graduating art student, a painter's birthday, or a baby shower for parents who love creative things. Place it on a studio shelf, a craft room desk or a nursery bookcase.
Painted by Hand
Many Limoges boxes are hand-painted once the white porcelain has been fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand as well. That handwork makes a crayon box a fitting tribute to fellow artists.
