Table Lamp and Yarn Porcelain Limoges Box

A small side table holds a lamp and balls of yarn, the cozy corner where a knitter settles in after supper. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, with the whole scene shaped as one decorative piece and a lamp that is porcelain rather than a working light.

Casting On by Lamplight

Anyone who knits or crochets knows the joy of a good chair, a pool of warm light and a project waiting in the basket. This piece captures that ritual perfectly. It is homey and specific in a way that crafters recognize immediately, and it brings a little warmth to any shelf.

For the Family Scarf Maker

Display it on a craft room shelf, beside a yarn bowl or on a side table in a reading nook. It is a thoughtful thank you for the friend who knits baby blankets for every new arrival, a birthday present for a crochet circle member or a nod to a grandmother whose needles never stop clicking.
