Rochard African Safari Truck Limoges Box with Binoculars

An African safari vehicle rolls across the savanna, binoculars ready for the first glimpse of a lion or giraffe. This travel piece is a Rochard Limoges box, hand-painted on porcelain in Limoges, France.

Game Drive at Dawn

Anyone who has been on safari remembers the early starts, the dusty tracks and the hush when the guide stops the engine. The truck forms the box, and the binoculars add a second detail that tells the story. Everything is painted by hand.

Gifts for the Explorer

Give it to a traveler before a trip to Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa, or as a welcome home after one. It makes a fine present for a wildlife photographer, a zoo volunteer, or a retiree who has finally checked a safari off the list.
