Rabbit and Carrot Porcelain Limoges Box by Rochard
A rabbit has found a carrot, and judging by the pose, it does not plan to share. Rochard turned that little garden scene into a porcelain Limoges box, hand-painted in Limoges, France.
Raiding the Vegetable Patch
Every gardener has lost a row of carrots to a rabbit at least once, so this piece tends to raise a knowing smile. The rabbit and carrot are shaped together as one box, a simple pairing that feels like a page from an old country storybook. Rochard brushwork is done by hand, so each finished rabbit carries its own small variations.
Country Kitchen Company
A kitchen windowsill, a potting bench shelf or an Easter table are natural homes for this one. It is a fitting spring present for a gardener, a farmers market regular, or a friend who keeps pet rabbits, and it slips easily into an Easter basket for a grown up.
