Cauliflower Head Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

A full head of cauliflower, curled florets and all, is the shape of this porcelain box, an unusual and witty vegetable form. Hand-painted in Limoges, France, this Limoges box brings a bit of the kitchen garden to the shelf.

From the Garden Bed

Cauliflower is one of the more surprising subjects in porcelain, and that is exactly its appeal. The tightly packed head has a natural sculptural quality, like a cloud or a bouquet, that translates beautifully into a small box.

Vegetable Patch Pairings

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits vegetable, garden and kitchen groupings
• Pairs with garlic, pepper and carrot shapes

Who Will Harvest It

Vegetable gardeners, farmers market regulars and cooks who love roasting whatever is in season will all enjoy it. It is a fun present for a chef, a community garden volunteer or a friend who has just started growing vegetables.

A Kitchen Garden Display

Put it on a kitchen windowsill beside potted herbs, on an open shelf with cookbooks or among other vegetable shapes for a small garden display. It also adds a witty note to a dining room hutch.
