Rochard Harvest Pumpkin Hand-Painted Limoges Box with Seeds

A harvest pumpkin sits ready for autumn in this Rochard Limoges box, with pumpkin seeds waiting inside. The porcelain is shaped and decorated by hand in Limoges, France.

Seeds of the Season

A hidden detail inside is the sort of surprise Limoges collectors love, and the seeds here are a clever nod to what lies within every real pumpkin. Rochard paints each piece by hand, so the shading on every box varies a little.

From Hayrides to Pie Night

Set it out in late September and let it stay through Halloween and Thanksgiving on a mantel, kitchen windowsill or entry table. It makes a warm hostess thank-you at a fall dinner, a birthday surprise for someone born in October, or a fun present for the friend who bakes the best pumpkin pie. Farm stand regulars and pumpkin carving fans tend to adore it, and it fits neatly beside a bowl of gourds or a stack of cookbooks.
