Rochard Small Bunny Limoges Box with Carrot

A small bunny sits ready with its prize, a carrot that comes away as its own little porcelain piece. Rochard made this Limoges box in hard-paste porcelain, and every part is painted by hand in Limoges, France.

A Nibble From the Garden

Every gardener has met this rabbit, the one that seems to know exactly when the carrots are ready. Here the thief is caught with the goods, and the result is more sweet than guilty. The separate carrot adds a playful touch, since it can rest beside the bunny or be tucked back into place.

Hopping Into Spring

• A Rochard design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• The carrot lifts away as a separate porcelain piece
• Fits an Easter, rabbit or kitchen garden collection

Baskets, Sills and Sunday Tables

Nestle it among colored eggs in an Easter basket, or set it on a sunny kitchen windowsill next to a pot of herbs. It looks charming at the center of a spring brunch table, too. As a present it suits an Easter morning, a spring birthday or a friend who keeps a vegetable patch and has lost a few carrots to the neighborhood rabbits. Keep the carrot close, since the bunny looks a bit lost without its snack.
