Yellow Mushroom Limoges Box
A large yellow mushroom rises from the forest floor, its golden cap glowing like a patch of sunlight in the woods. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, and it carries a bit of fairy tale into an ordinary shelf.
Golden Cap Under the Oaks
Mushrooms have long been a favorite subject in French porcelain, linked to autumn walks and foraging baskets. The cheerful yellow of this cap sets it apart from the usual reds and browns, and the larger size gives it real presence in a group.
Foraging Basket Finds

- Pairs with the large red mushroom and other woodland pieces
- Fits a garden, forest or fairy ring theme
A Toadstool for Every Season
Set it among potted ferns on a plant stand, on a rustic bookshelf or in a curio cabinet with acorns and hedgehogs. It suits anyone who spends fall weekends hunting chanterelles, a cook who loves wild mushroom risotto, or a friend with a cottage garden full of moss and shade plants. Fans of storybook illustration will enjoy it too.
The sunny color keeps it from feeling only autumnal, so it can stay out from the first spring rain until the last leaves drop in November, a small forest friend that never wilts.
