Rochard Arc de Triomphe Paris Monument Limoges Box

The Arc de Triomphe rises in porcelain, the great arch at the top of the Champs Elysees brought down to the size of your palm. This Paris landmark is a Rochard Limoges box, hand-painted in Limoges, France.

At the Top of the Champs Elysees

Commissioned by Napoleon to honor his armies, the arch has watched over Paris for generations, and the eternal flame for the Unknown Soldier still burns beneath it. Here the monument becomes the box, its outline and stonework painted by hand.

Souvenirs of the City of Light

Put it beside travel photos from Paris, on a desk in a home office, or on a shelf of French cookbooks. It makes a fine memento after a first trip to France, a bon voyage present for a study abroad student, or an anniversary present for a couple who got engaged in Paris.

A box made in Limoges that pictures Paris carries a double French connection, which is part of why monument pieces like this are so popular with travelers and Francophiles.
