Blue Hexagon Limoges Pill Box

Six crisp sides, stretched into a gentle oval outline, give this blue pill box a shape that stands apart from the usual rounds and squares. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, in shades of blue with a traditional, antique look.

Six Sides of Blue

Geometric pill boxes have long appealed to collectors who like a bit of architecture in their porcelain. Flat facets catch the light differently from a curved surface, so as you turn this one on a shelf, each side reads as a slightly different blue.

Facets for the Collector

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France, in a traditional antique style
• Pairs well with octagon, oval and other geometric pill boxes
• Fits a blue and white or classic pill box collection

Desk Drawer to Display Shelf

Set it on a desk, a nightstand or a glass shelf, where its angles can break up a line of round boxes. It suits a graduate heading into engineering or architecture, a retirement present for a math teacher, or a thank-you for anyone who appreciates clean lines. Because the color is calm and the form is simple, it fits a modern room as easily as a traditional one.
