Mini Hexagonal Pink Flowers Limoges Box
Tiny pink flowers bloom across the six faces of this mini hexagonal box, painted in a style inspired by Madame de Pompadour. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box from Limoges, France, small in size but rich in French court history.
A Nod to Madame de Pompadour
Madame de Pompadour, the influential favorite of Louis XV, was one of the great champions of French porcelain, and soft pinks became linked with her name. This miniature borrows that courtly taste, scattering pink blossoms over a shape that fits easily in the palm.
