Bird of Paradise Flower Rectangle Limoges Pill Box
The bird of paradise flower, with its bold, beak-like bloom, is painted across a neat rectangle trimmed with gold accents. This is a traditional shaped Limoges pill box, hand-painted on porcelain and made in Limoges, France.
A Tropical Flower in Flight
Named for its resemblance to a bright bird in mid-flight, the bird of paradise grows in warm places like Hawaii, Florida and Southern California. On this box the flower takes center stage, painted by hand onto the fired porcelain, with gold accents framing the design.

From Garden to Vanity
The flat rectangle sits steadily on a vanity tray, a nightstand or a desk, and it can hold a few pills, a ring or a pair of earrings. It also slips easily into a handbag for travel. It makes a bright reminder of a winter escape to Hawaii or Florida, a present for a gardener who grows tropical plants indoors, or a thank-you for a friend who hosted a beach weekend. Anyone who has seen the real flower blooming beside a hotel pool will recognize it instantly.
