Small Round Blue Limoges Box with a Flower

A single flower blooms on the lid of this small round box in blue, a simple design that proves less really can be more. Shaped in Limoges, France, the box is hand-painted porcelain in the oldest Limoges tradition.

One Bloom, Well Placed

Round boxes are among the first shapes made in Limoges, and they remain the quiet backbone of many collections. With just one flower on a blue ground, the painter lets the color and the form speak for themselves.

Small Spaces, Soft Color

The small size makes it easy to place on a nightstand, a crowded vanity, a windowsill or the corner of a desk. It is a sweet token for a birthday, a get-well wish, a thank-you to a teacher or nurse, or a little something for a friend who loves blue. Because it carries no theme, it fits almost any room, from a cottage bedroom to a modern office.
