Mother Cat Nursing Her Kitten Limoges Box

A mother cat tends to her nursing kitten, a quiet moment of care captured in porcelain. Hand-painted in Limoges, France, this Limoges box holds one of the tenderest scenes in any cat collection.

A Mother's Purr

Anyone who has watched a cat raise a litter knows how patient and protective a mother cat can be. This piece honors that bond, making it as meaningful for a new mother as it is for a devoted cat owner. Each box is painted by hand, so the coloring varies slightly from piece to piece.

For New Moms and Cat Fans

Give it at a baby shower, on Mother's Day, or to a friend who just adopted a cat with kittens. It also suits a veterinarian, a shelter volunteer or a foster cat parent. Display it on a nursery shelf, a bedside table or among other cats in a curio cabinet, where its gentle story is easy to read.
