Mother Zebra and Foal Rochard Limoges Box

A mother zebra stands close beside her foal, their stripes side by side in a tender moment on the African plains. Rochard made this Limoges box in porcelain, with every stripe painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Stripes Run in the Family

Zebra foals stay close to their mothers in the herd, and that bond is the heart of this design. Rochard shows the pair together, so the piece reads as both a safari scene and a portrait of motherhood. The hand painting gives each finished box small variations.

Place it on a nursery shelf, a bookshelf beside safari journals, or a living room table where guests will notice the pair.
