Multicolor Hot Air Balloon Porcelain Limoges Box
A colorful hot air balloon floats above its basket on this porcelain box, bright bands of color catching the morning sky. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box with every vivid stripe painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Up, Up and Away
The first hot air balloon flights took place in France in 1783, so this subject has deep French roots. Today balloon festivals still draw crowds at sunrise, when dozens of colorful envelopes rise silently over fields and vineyards.

Sunrise Celebration
It is a memorable present after a balloon ride, a birthday surprise for an adventurer, or a send off for a graduate heading out into the world. Couples who got engaged in a balloon basket often treasure it. Set it on a high shelf, a sunny windowsill or a desk where it can lift the mood.
A cheerful reminder to rise above the everyday, even if only for a moment.
