Santa Flying a Yellow Airplane Limoges Box

Santa has swapped his sleigh and reindeer for a bright yellow airplane, and he looks ready to make his rounds by propeller this year. This porcelain Limoges box was painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Cleared for Takeoff

It is a fun twist on the Christmas Eve flight everyone knows, and the yellow plane gives the piece a cheerful, sunny look that stands apart from the usual red and green. Santa sits in the cockpit as if he has been flying for years.

Hangar and Hearth

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• A good match for sleigh, toy train and reindeer pieces
• Fits a Santa, Christmas or aviation themed collection

Holiday Flight Plan

This is an easy choice for a pilot, a flight attendant, an air traffic controller or anyone who spends the holidays hopping between airports to see family. Set it on the mantel beside the stockings, on a desk in a home office, or under the tree next to a model plane. It also suits a retired aviator who still watches the sky whenever an engine passes overhead, and it brings a smile when it comes out of the box each December.
