Watercolor Paint Box with Building Scene Limoges Box

An artist's watercolor set becomes a porcelain box here, complete with a building scene painted on it in bright watercolor style hues. It is a fitting subject for a hand-painted Limoges box, since the porcelain itself was decorated by hand in Limoges, France.

A Palette in Porcelain

Paint boxes stir memories of first art lessons and afternoons spent sketching on location. The building on this one reads like a finished painting, as though the artist just set down the brush and closed the lid.

For the Plein Air Painter

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits an art, painting or studio collection
• Pairs with easel, palette and paintbrush pieces

Brushes Down, Box Closed

Set it on a studio shelf, a drafting table or a bookcase full of art books. It makes a lovely thank-you for an art teacher, a congratulations for a painter's first gallery show, or a birthday present for a friend who never travels without a sketchbook.

Architecture fans will enjoy the building as much as painters enjoy the paint box itself, which makes it an easy pick for a household with both interests.
