Christmas Tree Limoges Box with Nativity Scene

A Christmas tree carries the Nativity as its theme, bringing together the evergreen and the manger in one small porcelain piece. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, for a holiday that keeps the first Christmas at its heart.

O Holy Night Under the Branches

For many families, the tree and the Nativity set are the two most treasured parts of December decorating. This box joins them, placing the story of Bethlehem within the familiar shape of the Christmas tree. The hand-painting gives each one its own small variations, the mark of a real brush.

Gathered Around the Manger

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a Nativity, Christmas tree or faith collection
• Pairs with angel, star and church boxes

A Faithful December Display

Set it on a mantel among the Advent candles, beside the family creche, or on a side table where guests gather after the Christmas Eve service. It makes a meaningful present for a pastor, a choir member, a godparent or a grandparent who reads Luke chapter two aloud every year. When the holidays end, it returns to the box of treasured ornaments until next Advent.

Small porcelain boxes became fashionable in 18th-century France, and holiday pieces like this one carry that tradition into the modern Christmas season.
