Ocean Scene Puzzle Design Porcelain Limoges Box

An ocean scene stretches across this porcelain Limoges box, which is made in a puzzle design. The view is painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France.

Where the Tide Meets the Shore

An ocean view has a way of calming the mind, whether it is a morning walk on the beach or a long look from a ferry rail. This box carries that view in porcelain, with each part of the scene brushed in by hand after firing so no two are exactly alike.

The Puzzle Design

Its puzzle style design gives it a playful side and ties it to the game and travel themes found throughout our shelves. It sits well with lighthouse, sailboat, seashell and beach chair pieces, and with other puzzle style boxes.

Seaside Memories

• A memento of a beach vacation, a cruise or a coastal road trip
• A present for a sailor, a surfer or a marine science teacher
• A housewarming nod for a new beach house or lakefront cottage

Display it by a seaside window, on a beach house mantel, or on a boat cabin shelf. It is hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France, and it makes a pleasant reminder of salt air for anyone who grew up near the coast and now lives far from it.
