Slice of Strawberry Cake Porcelain Limoges Box
One generous wedge of strawberry cake makes up this porcelain box, with red berries on top and a small hidden compartment inside the slice. Painted by hand, this porcelain Limoges box comes from the workshops of Limoges, France.
A Slice of Summer
Strawberry cake is the taste of early summer, of garden parties and backyard birthdays. This little slice brings that cheerful mood to a shelf, with fresh red fruit set against the cake beneath it. It reads as a dessert first and a box second, which is half the fun.
Party Plate Pairings
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Fits a dessert, fruit or bakery themed collection
- Lines up nicely with tarts, cupcakes and frosted cakes
Who Gets the First Piece
Give it to the friend who bakes for every occasion, to a June birthday guest, or to a host after a lovely summer luncheon. It also suits a kitchen shelf, a china hutch or a tea cart where other sweets are on display. Anyone who keeps a recipe box full of family cakes will understand the appeal right away.
White hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat, is the base of every Limoges piece, and the painting is added by hand after that firing. Here that painting brings the strawberries to life against the pale cake.
