Yellow Wrapped Lollipop Porcelain Limoges Box

A lollipop in a bright yellow wrapper forms this cheerful porcelain piece, as sunny as a summer afternoon. Made in Limoges, France, it is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box that turns a simple treat into a little work of art.

Sunshine on a Stick

Few treats are as universally loved as a lollipop. Doctors' offices, bank counters and barber shops have handed them out for generations, and the sight of one still sparks a smile. The yellow wrapper here makes this the brightest of the candy pieces.

Carnival Colors

• Pairs with the orange, pink and blue clown candy boxes

Sweet Thank Yous

This is a fun present for a pediatric nurse, a barber, a teacher or anyone known for keeping a stash of lollipops at the ready. It also suits a summer birthday or a carnival themed party. Set it on a desk, a kitchen windowsill or a shelf with the other candies to create a rainbow of sweets.

Limoges porcelain begins as white hard-paste porcelain fired at very high heat. The bright yellow is added by hand afterward, which is how a simple lollipop gets its glow.
