Rochard Grizzly Brown Bear Limoges Box

A grizzly, the great brown bear of the western mountains, is the subject of this Rochard Limoges box. The porcelain bear was sculpted and hand-painted in Limoges, France.

King of the High Country

Few animals command respect like the grizzly, roaming the forests and rivers of Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. Seeing one in the wild, even from a safe distance, is a moment travelers never forget. This piece honors that powerful presence in a form you can admire up close, with no bear spray required.

Lodge and Cabin Corners

Set it on a cabin mantel, a lodge bookshelf or a den shelf among antlers and wildlife prints. It makes a fitting souvenir of a trip to Yellowstone, Glacier, Denali or the Canadian Rockies. Hikers, anglers, hunters and forest rangers make natural recipients, as does anyone who keeps a bear collection going. It also pairs well with other woodland and wildlife pieces for a rustic grouping.

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat, a sturdy match for a subject as strong as the grizzly.
